Mostly from the South side of the River Thames. Unlike the North side where common space had been appropriated for private development, there was (almost) a public path from Tower Bridge to The Thames Barrier and beyond.

Samuel Pepys often walked between Deptford and Greenwich. Drake left for the Armada down his eponymous steps by Deptford Reach. Such rich history.

Sadly, much of what I have photographed has disappeared already, consumed by property developers, particularly on the Greenwich Peninsular
